2 Books that Made Me See the World More Beautifully

The Alchemist By Paolo Coelho

I read this book quite a while ago, I believe I was in the 10th or 11th grade when I began exploring my curiosity in the concept of spirituality.
I did not know where to begin but this book really drew my attention.
I find when one is beginning their journey to uncover the “other” of the world, we consistently look for answers outside of ourselves. Depending on crystals, books, conspiracies, ancient wisdom and other mechanisms to bring them closer to the wisdom we seek (not that there is anything wrong with that, I believe there is so much to learn, out there in the world!)
This book taught me a lot at an age where my sense of self and identity was only just being built. Insecurity, peers, social media, career, it is a very influential and vulnerable age when you are a teen. The alchemist is a very special book, and I hold its message very dear to my heart. I use it as a reminder to consistently anchor myself within my truth, and the essence of my being, before making important decisions.
The book follows a young man named Santiago who is in search of worldly treasure. An adventure that leads him to discover even greater “treasure”, as he learns to understand the omens in his life, recognize the wisdom within himself and follow his dreams!
It is a truly wonderful story that I think everyone should read, it is quite magical haha! I was incredibly inspired by the magic and wisdom held within this book, surprised at its sincerity, as it described what it meant to “find yourself”. The Alchemist is truly a treasure of a read.

Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza

As my interest in herbalism unfolded, so did my interest in all the aspects of alternative medicine. I have always had a deep curiosity for the mysticism of the mind-body connection, believing our brains are much more powerful than initially led to believe.
Our brains are more than just an organ in the body, they are our sites of manifestation, bridging the gap between seen and unseen. The medium in which our imagination (thought) meets reality (action). And because the brain is the control center of the body, linking every neuron and cell throughout, it can actively change the state of our bodily systems.
Dr. Joe Dispenza’s becoming supernatural, is a revolutionary book on the link between thought consciousness and its ability to manifest physically. It describes real-case studies on individuals who have dealt with autoimmune diseases, cancer, and other chronic afflictions of the body, who have healed themselves miraculously, through the power of thought. How is that possible you might ask, I would really recommend this book to any skeptics, as it contains many scientific diagrams and studies to consolidate his research.
In this modern age, we will discover more and more methods that bridge that gap between seen and unseen. The body is quite powerful in its ability to heal itself when given the right tools.
Reading this book gave me a profound appreciation for my body and its capabilities. She works so hard to keep me healthy, even when the circumstances are less than ideal. It taught me not only to take care of myself physically, but also made me understand that my thoughts impact my body just as much as the food I eat. The balance between spirit, body, and mind is essential for our overall wellbeing.
